A multiple Boston marathon participant, Freeman mainly competed in track and field, but added golf, and shuffleboard in recent years, and bowled in the 2022 Games. Despite having not traveled in over two years because of Covid, the 90-year-old was determined to be in Fort Lauderdale and already has his sights set on Pittsburgh in 2023, so his east coast-basedfamily can come cheer him on.

He never considered himself athletic until he decided to enter his first competition at age 60.

She is a part of the Helena Ridleys, who swims under the Big Sky Masters and Montana Masters Swimming. Charlotte is a success story from the Adults Learn to Swim Program! Her next big goal is to master the butterfly so she can set records in the 100 IM at age 100.

Each mile swam was the equivalent of 500 miles, on the journey from Oklahoma to Japan. They started out with a half-mile daily swim, increasing the distance by half-mile increments, until they reached 2 miles a day.
